She was born the 20th of February, 1937 in the city of Chillicothe, Ohio to Olden Wilson, who was employed at an ironworks and Lillian Ryan, a former domestic employee. In 1959 Nancy made the move in The Big Town. The agent of Adderley heard about her in The Blue Morocco Night Club, Boston Road, The Bronx and she signed.
